Has anyone who has gone on this trip tried to do any biking?
What do I need to know about the overnight Grand Canyon trip, like food and supplies?
What's the most exciting thing I'll see or do?
Can't wait...I'm so excited and would appreciate any information you could pass along that would help me to know what to expect.

I was going on two vacations this summer, but both were cancelled due to circumstances. So I've decided I'd take a cross-country trip of my own! I need to escape my everyday life for a bit.
Tough part is, I'm not sure which trip to go on. I want to go to different places in all the Cross-Country options. I suppose I'll have to choose soon.
My biggest problem is that I don't often fit in with new people (or old friends either) and I'm sort of worried that, although I'm sure will meet people, I may not become close with anyone and not enjoy my trip to its full potential. Any suggestions on how to ensure this doesn't happen? I'm very friendly and open-minded, just not much of a talker.. looking forward to the trip though!

I traveled with GT in the summer of '88 (Nat'l Parks Loop). On board was a rider named Victor, who was no stranger to the Tortoise having been on 8 trips previous (Alaska, Baja, etc.) and most likely several after as well. He worked as a translator at a 'school for the deaf'.
Our drivers... this trip included Bob & Simone.
Does anybody know Victor or know how he can be reached? Even leads would help - as I would like to drop him a line and say hi!
