1/21-24 Django Reinhardt at 100 – Yoshi’s Oakland, A whole weekend
of music dedicated to the memory of one of music’s greatest talents.
1/22 The Devil Makes Three – Independent, A pretty good little band.
Sound kind of like an indie band that longs to be a blues band.
1/23 Cold War Kids – Fillmore, these guys are pretty decent, I rather
enjoy their song St. John. So if you like pop music that’s not stale
a trite check them out.
1/23 The Pharcyde – Yoshi’s SF, Rap, hip hop, trip hop, whatever you
wanna call your genre these guys transcend it all to make some great
grooves, with a killer message. This show should be awesome.
1/24 Persephone’s Bees – Café Du Nord, Norwegian Pop done well, sure
in 10 years maybe they’ll just be another ABBA in the minds of our
children, but they have a knack for some good tunes.
