Laudanum, Bloody Panda, Trees, Deathroes at the Oakland Metro $10 8pm. Doom metal at a lovely and epic level. I am a fan of Bloody Panda and Laudanum, so for them alone this should be an excellent heavy show.

Dwarves (acoustic) at Amoeba, S.F. free 6pm. Punk rock legends playing for free at amoeba, hell yes man.
Pestilence, Warbringer, Vital Remains, Enfold Darkness, Sacrificial Slaughter, dj Rob Metal at the DNA Lounge, S.F. $16/$20 6:30pm. Death Metal and Thrash metal meet in these varying bands. Should be a most excellent show, especially if you're feeling rowdy.
Henry Rollins (spoken) at the Herbst Theatre, S.F. $25 8pm. I go back and forth on this, I like some of what henry rollins has to say and I hate some of what he says. But if you're a fan of his stint in black flag or his solo career then you should check it out.

Amber Asylum, Trees, Barn Owl, Bloody Panda at the Elbo Room, S.F. 21+ . Another great doom show, if you like the intense crushing riffs of slow drone doom. Then this should be a great show.
Health, Indian Jewelry, Gold Panda at Slim's. A show of bands that seem sad that new wave isn't around much these days. they seem to be carrying the torch pretty well. Gold Panda is a little bit more experimental but fun.
The Sadies, The Loons at the Great American Music Hall. Country music that's not like the pop that this genre usually seems to put forth. The loons are more of a psychedelic garage king of band It's good music from the heart, and a good time should bolster forth from this show.

Filth (reunion), Verbal Abuse, Fracas, One In the Chamber at the Uptown, Oakland 21+ $10 9pm. another good hardcore show with the reunion of a classic bay area band, Filth. If you love screeching vocal and flinging your appendages about while "dancing" then have at.
Stiff Little Fingers (Ireland), Culann's Hounds at Slim's 9pm. Pop punk at it's best, whether you're a fan of High Fidelity and it's many music references, or a lover of punk in general this should be a great show.
Eat Skull + Ezeetiger, The Sound Guys at Ever Gold Gallery, 441 O'farrell St., S.F. $5 8pm. Psychedelic experimental rock and rollin. Should be an odd but good show.
The Good Life, The Parson Red Heads, Contrail at the Bottom Of the Hill 21+ $12 9pm. A little indie pop, maybe some shoegaze influences in there, as the illustrious Stephanie pointed out. This sound like a good show to check out.
Themselves, Talkdemonic at the New Parish, Oakland 18+ $10/$12 9pm. Ambient electronica and Nerdcore Hip hop. Sounds like an awesome time.
Sleepy Sun, The Fresh & Onlys, Moon Duo, DJ Britt Govea at the Great American Music Hall (folkyeah). This is going to be a great show. Fantastic and original bands playing some fantastic music that will leave you wanting more. Beyond Indie rock and in a realm all their own.
