So too long it has been since the last concert updates so lets just jump right into it shall we.
4/16,23,30 The Beggar's Banquet, this is a concert series that features singer/songwriters and has a potluck theme, a great idea in my opinion, show up with some food to contribute and admission is $6 otherwise it's $10.
4/16 Bottom of the Hill- High Like Five, Murray the Thief, The Sweet Revenge. Ok so if you like that annoying pop punk the likes of Good Charlotte or Sum 41, this show will get you all nippley.
4/17 the Stork Club(Oakland) - X-rated Porno Machine, Big Blue Whale, Six Reasons, Gertrudestein. A nice blend of rock, metal and punk throughout. Looks like a keeper.
4/17 Bottom of the Hill- The Frail, The Action Design, I the Mighty. So electronica indie/Avril Lavigne would be the people I would refer to this show. I the Mighty is a little more emo, in the vein of Dashboard confessional.
4/18 the Stork Club- Kylesa, Intronaut, Black Elk, Dusted Angel. Most of these bands claim to be metal but have some crappy hardcore leanings, not really my thing but if you're bummed that the Mastodon show later that night is sold out a good alternative as the first to bands are opening for that tour, this is an early show as well, starts at 3 pm.
4/18 Bottom of the Hill- Floater, Dolorata, Sticks and Stones. So it seems like whiney indie rock and an instrumental hard rock trio, so a little something for a date in a show.
