We all love a good night of drinking. But when you're in a city like San Francisco and you get the hankering for some good liquor, or my personal favorite cheap liquor that doesn't taste like hairspray, I figured it would be to point you all in the in the right directions. So here is a fairly massive list of my favorite places to drink and have a good time.
Wild Side West - 424 Cortland Avenue, San Francisco, CA, up in the beautiful Bernal hieghts area of San francisco this is a great little place to drink with a nice intimate patio out back so you can enjoy a beer and a cigarette if you like.
Monk's Kettle - 3141 16th Street, Ahh the Mission, how I love the mission when on a full blown drinking binge. And if you like beer at all, this is the bar for you. It's kinda full of yuppies, but they have a beer list that strives to not just be the most international in san francisco as possible, but a desire to all people.
Revolution Cafe - 3248 22nd Street, San Francisco, CA, Do you like Jazz? are you missing that european cafe kind of feel with people that love good music? this is the place for you. It is more of a cafe than a bar but don't let that stop you do some heavy drinking then use their beer and wine list to maintain.
The Riptide - 47th Ave., San Francisco, CA, way out in the sunset district about a block from the ocean is a nice little bar with a definate surf and have fun attitude. If you check it out ask for Stephanie and say hi from Kyle for me.
Martuni's - 4 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA, wanna see the infamous lower haight district? wanna get drunk? go here, $5 for giant martini's but erin cautions be careful if drinking more than 2.
Toronado - 547 Haight San Francisco, CA 94117, More beer than they know what to do with here, so they are looking for a few good drinkers to come and help them out. It's fun and further into the lower Haight area.
Amnesia - 853 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA, the best little hole in the wall I've been to in a long time. this bar is nice friendly and has great music. A classic place to chill.
Bissap Baobab - 3372 19th St. San Francisco, CA, Do you like to get your dance on and have a full bar to make sure you have the courage to cut a rug. Go here, it's always a party, the people are nice and friendly, and it almost feels like you are in a small Jamaican club so it can only end in a rollicking good time.
The 500 Club - 500 Guerrero Street San Francisco CA, This is a bar that has character with just a smidge of attitude. This is a fun place to go full of people that you never even knew you wanted to meet. Sit down, order a drink and have some fun.
The Knockout - 3223 Mission St San Francisco, CA 94110, A little bit punk, a little bit rockabilly, this is a fun little dive to hang with some friends with music geared more towards people that enjoy a good subculture.
The Broken Record - 1166 Geneva Ave, San Francisco, CA 94112, Way out in a burb called the excelsior, there is a bar that specializes in 2 things, getting you drunk really well, and feeding you food that's even better. They focus on whiskey, beer, and even have a selection of Absinthe. So if you're in for a trek you will be sure to have a great time out here.
Bar Tartine - 561 Valencia Street San Francisco California 94110, Ok so this isn't a bar to get drunk in, it's actually a bakery. But this place is to die for. The food is fantastic and filling. So if you need some cushion for the drinking you are about do or have been doing this is a good little pit stop.
And so that is a list of a few of the bars I have checked out in my time around this big crazy city. So I hope this helps all you party people find fun and exciting new ways to get inebriated. Have a great time kiddies.
